"Cubism self-portrait"

My name is Nycholas I live in south Carolina. I am high school student and I am in the 9th grade. I was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and I grew up in Brooklyn, New York. I live with my mother, brother, and sister in an apartment in the low country of South Carolina. I also have two older half brothers that still reside in New York, one in Brooklyn and the other in Staten Island. My mother is African-American and my father is from Barbados (Island in the west indies).

My favorite sport is basketball. I eat, breathe, and sweat basketball. I would dream to go pro in basketball, but it is just a dream and it will stay that way for I am not talented at basketball. My favorite team is the Miami Heat, but I do like the Chicago Bulls  mainly out of the fact Derrick Rose is a good player. 

When I grow up I hope to own my own shoe company. I hope to make a shoe better than Jordan or Nike. I would make two lines one for casual sneakers and sneakers for basketball or other sports. I hope to make a shoe from the key elements of sports.  From weight, to comfort, and incredible performance.

Artist Mission Statement

Art to me is many things waiting to be unfurled. From the minute we wake up to the minute we go to sleep we encounter art and don't even notice nor do we acknowledge the fact. Everyone has that creativity in them wanting to escape from where it was buried. We choose to keep our creativity locked down instead of setting it free. society forced to lock away that imagination and told us that it was useless, but it defines us as human beings. We are all unique and emotional beings we have feelings and can reason. Without creativity or without imagination what are we? Monotonous unfeeling robots in other words, NOTHING! Without this we are not alive.
